Can stainless steel jewelry withstand water?

No, I strongly advise against that. Stainless steel cannot withstand chlorine at all. So take off your jewelry when you go swimming.

Not for everyone to perceive, but if you are used to sterling silver or gold-plated sterling silver, stainless steel will probably not be your preference .
